C access to FITS data files with optional Fortran wrappers
CFITSIO is a library of C and Fortran subroutines for reading and writing data files in FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) data format. To install cfitsio, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install cfitsio
To see what files were installed by cfitsio, run:
port contents cfitsio
To later upgrade cfitsio, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade cfitsio
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
