The CELT codec is a compression algorithm for audio. Like MP3, Vorbis, and AAC it is suitable for transmitting music with high quality. Unlike these formats CELT imposes very little delay on the signal, even less than is typical for speech centric formats like Speex, GSM, or G.729.

To install celt, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install celt
To see what files were installed by celt, run:
port contents celt
To later upgrade celt, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade celt
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
