Bing is a point-to-point bandwidth measurement tool (hence the 'b'), based on ping. Bing determines the real (raw, as opposed to available or average) throughput on a link by measuring ICMP echo requests roundtrip times for different packet sizes for each end of the link.

To install bing, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install bing
To see what files were installed by bing, run:
port contents bing
To later upgrade bing, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade bing
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
