Bakefile is a cross-platform, cross-compiler native makefile generator. It takes a compiler-independent description of build tasks as input and generates a native makefile (autoconf's Makefile.in, Visual C++ project, bcc makefile etc.).

To install bakefile, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install bakefile
To see what files were installed by bakefile, run:
port contents bakefile
To later upgrade bakefile, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade bakefile
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
