This version of the port provides the last release using the legacy file format. The newer v3 versions can import the legacy .aup projects but can only write in a new .aup3 format that the older versions cannot import! Use this port if you have a need to exchange native projects with people using Audacity versions older than 3.0.0 .

To install audacity-legacy, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install audacity-legacy
To see what files were installed by audacity-legacy, run:
port contents audacity-legacy
To later upgrade audacity-legacy, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade audacity-legacy
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
