GNU arch is a revision control system, similar in purpose to tools such as CVS, SCCS, and Subversion. It is used to keep track of the changes made to a source tree and to help programmers combine and otherwise manipulate changes made by multiple people or at different times.

To install arch, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install arch
To see what files were installed by arch, run:
port contents arch
To later upgrade arch, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade arch
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
