AdPlug is a free, multi-platform, hardware independent AdLib sound player library, mainly written in C++. AdPlug plays sound data, originally created for the AdLib (OPL2/3) audio board, on top of an OPL2/3 emulator or by using the real hardware. No OPL2/3 chips are required for playback.

To install adplug, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install adplug
To see what files were installed by adplug, run:
port contents adplug
To later upgrade adplug, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade adplug
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
