ReceiveMIDI a is command line tool to receive MIDI messages from MIDI devices. Messages can be filtered and the output can be saved to a file or piped to another program such as the companion program SendMIDI.

To install ReceiveMIDI, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install ReceiveMIDI
To see what files were installed by ReceiveMIDI, run:
port contents ReceiveMIDI
To later upgrade ReceiveMIDI, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade ReceiveMIDI
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
