The MenuMeters monitors are true SystemUIServer plugins (also known as Menu Extras). This means they can be reordered using command-drag and remember their positions in the menubar across logins and restarts.

To install MenuMeters, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install MenuMeters
To see what files were installed by MenuMeters, run:
port contents MenuMeters
To later upgrade MenuMeters, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade MenuMeters
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
