CocoaDialog is a macOS application that allows the use of common GUI controls such as file selectors, text input, progress bars, yes/no confirmations and more with a command-line application. It requires no knowledge of Cocoa, and is ideal for use in shell and Perl scripts (or Ruby, or Python, or... etc).

To install CocoaDialog, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install CocoaDialog
To see what files were installed by CocoaDialog, run:
port contents CocoaDialog
To later upgrade CocoaDialog, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade CocoaDialog
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
